Add TimeZones when selecting games to play

I am new to this site and have been playing for a few weeks now. I love playing but Its frustrating sometimes because of the 24 hr period of turns. I understand why, and don't have a problem with it. We are all over the world tho in different timezones and because of that, it sometimes takes 'forever' between turns.
What I would like to suggest it to somehow intergrate the timezones into the profiles when selecting games to play. Also add the timezone of the player next to his/her ID so we know where all the players are when in playing a game. Like a Country flag or use GMT possible. This way, when selecting games to play, we would know where everyone is, so we could actually select games/players with similiar timezone. This would help speed up times between turns. This way we will know when selecting games to play, that if someone is in US and some in UK or Japan, then we will know that the game could possibly take longer than the '24' hour period between turns.
For example if you have a player in the US, UK and Japan, and each plays at 8pm, their local time, it could take 2 days between turns!
I know this was sort of discussed elsewhere about times and such, but could not find anything relating to adding TimeZones into the selection criteria. Sorry if its duplicated somewhere.
I look forward to any feedback about adding TimeZones to the selection criteria and player profiles.
Thanks all! and Happy 'Hunting"

I'm not sure but this may have been suggested numerous times before...
However, it is an excellent idea...

You have no evidence that the long time to play comes from people in different time zones. I have had laggards in the same time zone. Without more evidence, this is a bad idea.

Just because this is not a good idea for you doesn't mean it's a good idea for other ppl
Time Zone selection is better for rt games...

The only problem with this idea, is that you do not know when people check their games. You could be playing the guy next door to you, but if you are playing a 2 player game, and he checks his games at 8 pm and you at 9 pm, there will be a 23 hour gap between turns. I am not saying this is a bad idea, just pointing out a possible failing of this that might not have been seen.

Just another example where readily available information, if displayed, MIGHT enhance the site for some. For those it wouldn't help, it certainly wouldn't HURT them! Why not? What harm could come of it?

Sorry, I modified my post so that my point would be more visible.
Implying that I am trying to help, by having the person who created the post, or anyone else here address a point that may be of concern.

I read another suggestion talking about having a stat with a player's average time to take their turn; something like that could be incorporated into this idea. If you're very casual then you could look for games with people that take longer to play their turns and so on. This just came to mind reading this. Cheers.

Let me make it clear....
I like the idea.
Whether putting the idea into place will help is another

This is fine in theory. What harm could come of it? Two thoughts come to mind:
We need someone to do the programming. This is limited by their time and there are lots of things that could be done so we shouldn't waste their time. While on the subject a grovelling thank you to hands on CCers
If we believe a user's time zone tells us when they are going to play then some time zones will get a stigma. Such predjudice is not healthy. If you are avoiding someone it would be nice to know your reasons are sound.
I like the idea but does it solve the problem!
Hang on
What is the problem

The main problem is.... when a player in your game is only logging on once a day.
Unless he gets a chance (and takes the opportunity) to have two quick turns (almost) in a row then the game is reduced to (almost) one turn per day.
We don't really need to know "where" someone is but "when" they are likely to be online during any 24 hour period. Strickly speaking you'd want to know their patterns over a week.
Alternatively.... Just accept it. Its a pain but some people just play that way.
