"Attendance" rating tells us what, exactly?

What does the "Attendance" rating tell us? What is it supposed to tell us?

I was surprised to find that I had been rated at a 2 by one player and as a 4 by two other players. I've not been missing turns. The games are all 24 hour turns. If you don't like to wait 24 hours, play somewhere else.

Would it not be a better solution to simply have a few lines of code in the game programming which would report data on missed turns? That data could then be converted into some form of reporting that showed up next to a player's rating, maybe?

Seems silly to allow people an arbitrary rating on a subject that appears to be a boolean equation...either you attend or you don't.

It's another way for poor losers to get back at you for winning, while providing absolutely no justification, and without reprisal.
