Yea a few of us have pointed that out before but apparently that is a feature and not a bug. :x

Feel free to do a bit of a search for the old topics and drag it up again, maybe someone will listen this time.

Here's a recent (well, it had fallen to page three, but still...) thread about this already. Seeing this reminded me to finally bump it again.

I'm pretty sure when the Germans had control over Europe and were starting to lose battles to the Allied Powers, they were able to tell what cities they lost. Thats a not a feature of life folks, thats a fact. Bringing that back to Conquer Club, its a board game for crying out loud. I should be able to see in the log what I just lost! If I played with a few friend back at home I sure would be able to, why the hell not in here?

If we get Game Log 2.0 ... a player will able to review turn progression, and that might be one way to solve the problem.

I'm not a premium member; I've only been playing the normal freestyle games. With rounds lasting up to an entire 24h, how much attention can I really pay? Furthermore, if you believe I should be paying attention, then why hell is there a log in the first place?

No, it rewards those that are constantly logged on and keeps notes. That really shouldn't be required.

no it doesnt, heres what you do.

you decide which territories you think are crucial and must be watched then you use the note to self and type in

Round number, Territory name, Owner, number of armies

then you can see which ones that you CARED about and know it with only logging on once a day still. if you play fog and complain about the not being able to see what you lose, dont play fog, simple as that.

also if you cant remember which territory you lost you really didnt care about it. i find that i remember which territories i wanted to watch but the ones i didnt care about i dont even notice losing

I believe lack has given the thumbs up to other suggestions for making it easier for the average (i.e. non note taking) player in the past.

Interesting that your solution to my "notes shouldn't be required" is, "take notes".

I would agree with you if it concerned any other players territories but it doesn't, the problem lies with ones own territories.

Well I don't play FoW. I would if the settings wasn't so ridiculously stupid though, as I like the general idea.

It is a fact. A real life fact - the battles concerned were won and lost using military equipment not virtual dice and a map on a screen.

axh98 wrote:Bringing that back to Conquer Club, its a board game for crying out loud.
Well Conquer Club isn't a board game, but setting that aside for a moment it is a game as you say. Which seems to negate your previous argument that FoW positions should be revealed because "the Germans would have known". Games and real life don't have the same rules.

You would be able to see what you just lost. But I can't imagine how you'd avoid seeing the territories that were supposed to be obscured by FoW ... FoW is only possible because it's not a board game we're playing here ;).

axh98 wrote:why the hell not in here?
Because, if you include the information you suggest in the game log, it will become possible to deduce a good deal of the holders' of territories which are supposedly obscured by FoW.
I'm not sure if you are one of the many players here who uses BOB, but if so you'll appreciate it would be a simple task to upgrade BOB to read the additional information you're proposing is written to the log and use it to penetrate the FoW so reducing the effectiveness of the game option.

if you can't keep track of your terits then don't play fog.

or alternatively you could use BOB because it has a snapshot feature. just take one at the end of your turn and when you come back analyze it to see what happened. ;)

The exact reason for the snapshots feature.
