I never use this feature..I think i have only played 2 games with it. but i have noticed that after you are killed all you get to see is "?" marks. it would be nice to see the other players after you are killed. So my ? is, "Is there any way to make it so the terminated player is able to see whats under the "?" marks". I know someone will prob. say "well if that is done then the terminated player can tell other players where the other players are". My answer to this is. if people on here are honest players and true to the game then this isnt a issue.

Most people are honest eye.

But it would be abused by those who aren't.

Stupid idea. You are naive if you think pissed off people won't screw everyone over.

I have no problem with not seeing much after I've been terminated.

I do however think it's stupid not to be told what territories you loose to other players. I understand that I can only see my own territories and those adjacent but that has to be checked when something happens and not when I view the log. As it is now you get situations when as soon as you loose a territory (that is isolated from the rest of your army) you "forget" that you ever held it and it comes up as you lost "?" to someone.

i agree.
i think it is stupid that my intelligence advisors (the log) know that player x conquered a territory from player y but they can't remember what the name of the territory i just lost was.

terrible idea...if u screw someone over it could easily backfire
and not everyone is honest
also big tactic of fog can be to lie about opponets position/give away your opponents strength etc

This is something I have considered suggesting myself, actually.

The following two things do not make sense:
1) are re player A. Player B owns territory 2, and you own neighboring territory 1. If player B attacks and conquers territory 1 from territory 2, why can not you see that battle in the feed? . You could easily find this information by watching the board all day, so if is s potential abusive info, then you could already get that info. But it would be much more convenient to me to be able to see which of my territories were attacked, in what order, when looking at the log the next day. As the commander of an army, how would I not know that I used to have a territory that was taken?

2) Player B attacks player C ' s territory and conquers it. Why can you see this? . I use this all the time to determine where my opponents are; and while is s certainly helpful, is s not really in keeping with the concept of Fog of War. As the commander of an army, how would I know that two distant enemy territories were having a battle (if I didn't even know which they were)?

I think most of these points, except the initial one of course, are the main points to fog of war:p The whole point is thinking. You have to be able to check the game log and know that player A only has 3 territories, then you do a quick check and see that you see all of them. Or you only see 2. Its up to you to try and attack the 2 and try and find the 3rd or not risk it. Take outs require more thinking in fog than other games.

The add-on scripts are also helpful because they do -some- of the thinking for you, but not all.

In a perfect world the eliminated players could be trusted to see the rest of the battle but sadly its not a perfect world. When the game is over you can see the map again but by then its too little too late. It would be cool if there was a "replay button" where it would play the whole battle from a certain round in high speed. But thats just me dreaming:P

you have it backwards MsCarolyn. in true FoW:-
i should not know two distant armies i can not see fought.
i should not know that player a is receiving a bonus if i can not see every territory required to get that bonus.
i should know the names of any territory i just lost.
i should know the names of territories that change hands if they border one of mine.

Word. I agree exactly.

However this thread isn't about that.

Can we get a mod to move this to a separate thread?

PS. As a note though I'd be willing to bet the reason this doesn't exist is because it would require a log file for every single person. I'm fairly confident we are all sharing a log file. If you attacked you can see it. If you didn't you cannot. If it is a shared log, then it would be impossible for the game to know if could see my neighbor 8 rounds ago when he lost that territory. Should be pretty simple to say if player yellow is attacking or attacked, much harder to make it so you can see territories passed between 2 people who are not you but that you neighbor.

Yeah I think if I try I can make that more complicated.

I'll create a new thread for what we've been talking about, then. Sorry, I guess I misunderstood what the OP was about.
