<Body>:

* Suggestion Idea:To make it more like real life and less like the world was suddenly scrambled you could have picked starting position. The territories would be equal but for example i would start out with Africa and something else while you started with oz and something else. This would make the game more tactful. It would make the game less of luck of the drop. And with this you could actually make it more realistic and re-live other events. for example ww2 you could start with Germany and Europe and a certain amount of armies. You could also play team games with historical presence like Germany and japan against Britain and USA for ex. There would be no territory bonus because that would make it to uneven

* Why it is needed: Add a new dimension to the game

if im not mistaken a new XML feture has been implemented to make this possible should the mapmake choose so.

I like the idea of choosing your own territories. People are always complaining about the luck involved, and this could cut that down. Even if certain maps were set up this way, I'm sure I'd play them frequently. Also, I think we could also consider jakes two suggestions seperately as well as together. I think it would either idea would be fun on their own.

hasn't an issue been in the past that it would make games too long if all were to go around the table and pick territories?

i hate the way whenever i play 1 v 1 the other guy always seems to either start with bonuses or get the first turn, i think at least we should say that you dont get bonuses in the first round as they are got simply by 100% fluke.......

Try Feudal Wars as an example of what can already be done with existing XML.

I think dominationnation has been trying to tell you this.
