It is a good point, but it could be either you miss 3 consecutive turns, or say around 5 or 6 non-consecutive turns.
I agree with the problem wcaclimbing outlined. I still think there should be a non-consecutive kick limit - 5 or 6 sounds perfect, as you said. How to get around wca's problem? Just have a decay on the missed turn. If I miss a turn, it only "counts" towards my 6 missed turns for the next 20 rounds.
Missing 6 turns in a 150 round game is really negligible. Nobody would have a problem with that. But missing 6 turns in a 20-round period does have a fairly large impact on the game.
