no player names in game log.

purpose, allows secrets to be kept.

suggestion: remove the player names from the game log, and simply replace it with a ? mark. Do the same for Neutral, so that other players won't know who is attacking who. It makes alliances in games such as Age of might/magic and coming soon Mayhem less likely.

Maybe it could be another game option. it could have
FoW: on/off
game log: full/partial

any thoughts?

no, its even more tempting for the multi horde.
Also I don't see the point, if you really like an alliance, you'd still be able to have it, its just that nobody else would know about it..
its like assasin without any colourarmy, you'd never know what you are about to hit..
nope, looks like no fun to me

the thing is though... if you cant tell what countries have been conquered... why should you be able to tell WHO did the conquering? unless of course, you are right next to said conquered country.

oooo.... i shudder to think of the programmig involved in that... im still strugglig with basi javascript!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

the programming involved is pretty much nothing

if($options['showfulllog'] == true) { echo $username; } else { echo "??" }

or whatever the setup is.

:D

anyway, i don't like this idea.

You can't tell who's getting big and whos a huge threat without the names
