* Suggestion Idea: Change green and/or grey colors
* Specifics: Find other colors/shades that aren't so close together.
* Why it is needed: OK it's been a couple months since the colors were changed. While the color committee did a good job, I think they missed it with the green/grey. Those two colors are too close and should be changed. I know the committee is still "open" for discussion, so I'd like guys to see if you can keep playing around with it and come up with another alternative please.
Thanks!

It depends on what PC i am using, when i am on my notebook I can't tell the difference between yellow and orange, however they are noticably different when using the desktop PC.
Although i have no problems with green and grey/slate on either machine, but I do have probs with grey and white (nuetral) on the notebook

I've never had a problem, but it's not like making the colors more distinguishable is a bad thing. If it's a problem and it's easy to fix, go for it.

Yes, I said it. While the color is functional its oh so gay. I feel emancipated when I play in that color. Just not a color I can see dominating or conquering with.

As a colourblind user who doesn't just have trouble with the two colours mentioned but with other combinations too I find myself wondering why posters don't just use the colour codes option?
That, obviously, is what I do. It works.
The colour committee (I wasn't part of it) will have taken into account different screen types and, I would expect, a whole host of other factors before deciding on the current 8 colours.
The current 8 are a best compromise, not perfection.
The colour committee could reconvene. And they'd come up with another 8 which they again would consider the best compromise.
And perhaps some of the posters here would then be satisfied. But others wouldn't.
I'm not saying the colour committee shouldn't reconvene on this point, but surely not so soon and when there are so many other matters needing attention at CC and - perhaps most pertinently - when we already have a neat workaround in the colour codes.

Agreed. I often have trouble differentiating between green and grey.

I have never had troubles with making difference with them, even on worst maps that others complain about, but I do have problems with making difference grey and green
