a way to cut down on server load

when using firefox I do a search for open games.

When the list appears and I click on join game it opens over the list thus I have to use my back button and repost the data from the server.

I think it would be easy enough to code the join game to open a new window thus leaving my search still open. This would stop the server from having to repost my query.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who joins one game at a time.

I know I can right click and open each game in new window but if it was hard coded it might reduce server load :?:

cheerz,

Jas

You could right click and tell it to open in a new window or tab.
Please thoroughly read the following threads and perform a forum search before making suggestions:

Actually the OP has a point - because if you're on page 2 of a find - the server doesn't rerun the query... - so if page 1 could be made refreshable - then it would be better.

Please read thoroughly my post and you will see I said I know how to right click but for those that don't/can't be bothered it might save a few server cycles.

Anyway I'll make sure to search all possible combinations of words next time before daring to post.

You could also just ignore spiesr like the rest of us.

No, I agree with you, and since there has been a focus on improved server performance lately this is a good time to bring this idea up, even if it was brought up (and probably forgotten by everyone but spiesr) in the past.
