Card Usage 'Later' option

I've been conquerclubbing for 4-5 months now & I've found no consistency in when u can cash in cards. As in say 2/3 to 3/4 of the time or maybe 75-80% of the time, you're given the "Later" option. Why is that? Why can't I have the 'Later' option/button 100% of the time? Game play/rules need to be 100% consistent. :( :o  :? :x

Cause it ticks me off when i'm forced to Play a Set when I don't want to/need to!! I develop my strategies around the rules of the game, the gameplay, the game/system implementation.

The game rules description need to be expanded to include system play/quirks because your boardgame implementation IS the board, the map, the game, the lay of the land, the unwritten rules.

a)Every time you have 5 cards you must cash in a set. You can not have more than 5 cards. There is NO "Later" option available.

b)Whenever you have 3 cards AND they are a complete set, you will have a "Later" option available. You may cash them in or wait for more cards. As soon as you have 5 cards you must cash them in to proceed with a game.

c)Whenever you have 4 cards AND you have a complete set, you will have a "Later" option available. You may cash them in or wait for 1 more card. As soon as you have 5 cards you must cash them in to proceed with a game.

d)Whenever you have 4 cards, but there is no Set, there is no "Later" button, as it is not possible to cash them in anyway.

Buddy, he is talking about when he has 5 cards...he wants to have more cards than 5 and still click later.

It's an ok question, but what happens when there's escalating cards?
(talk about not fair) You could have 1 army against a player with everything else and you could win by saving up your cards....you could recieve hundreds of armies and destroy the player who deserves the win.

I guess it could become an option.

the rules say you can have no more than 5 cards, there are ways to get around this but they involve giving up cards/turns.

escalating would never go anywhere if you always had the later option. since the first set is only 4 every1 would wait for some1 else to play cards first and thus until some1 gains a definite advantage i would venture that escalating games would be very similar to no cards games

flat rate would not have that fun chance of getting a multi color set since all you would have to do is wait until you got one

no card games would be less fun indirectly! (dont ask me how it just is :D)

ways to get around the problem. when you have 4 cards and a set dont end your turn. (i do not recommend this at all. i would put you on my ignore list and give you a negative if i saw you did this in my games) and the other is to not take your turn once you get 5 cards or more (through an elimination) (once again i would ngive you a negative and ignore you)

Instructions page 2 wrote: There are no wild cards. You cannot accumulate more than 5 cards, therefore there may be a mid-turn cashing in of sets after eliminating an opponent.

isnt it kinda obvious? you can't take more than 5. If you have 5 at the beginning of your turn, that means you will have 6 at the end after you get your next card. Since you arent allowed to have 6, is forces you to turn in when you have at least 5.
