Don't show territory names on cards during fog games

Suggestions Form

Suggestion Idea: Don't show the countries for opponents cards during fog games. Keep everything else the same, just "blank" out the names of the cards whenturned in.

Specifics: Right now, fog or no fog, you see the name of the cards and the bonuses given. This means it is often possible to tell which territories someone owns. (if they get 2 armies, it is one of three -- and in Might, Fuedal, that might otherwise be hard to tell) You could show colors and just make the country "X". I do not think it would be a big programming issue, just add code that says if fog, display all cards as x or?

Why it is needed: In some games, especially the 2 "might" and the "Fuedal" games, knowing exactly where your opponent is can give you a major advantage.

That is -- you could still see colors, army counts, but not the names of territories

Hm, it's actually a pretty good idea...since it would be in the spirit of Fog of War....

But it's actually part of the strategy of fog of war. One way to try to figure out what your opponent has is by keeping up in the game log with what's going on.

Also, you have a strategical choice to make.
A) Turn in cards that you have, and get 2 extra armies, while allowing everyone to know your position or
B) Turn in cards that you don't have, losing extra armies, but maintaining some level of secrecy.

So, in short, I disagree.

Of course 1 card in 3 might not give away your position either?!

In both Fuedal and Might, you occupy so few territories that one in three are pretty good odds.

In both games, you can figure out your opponents locations after a few turns. However, if making some very aggressive early move, that is not always the case. Particularly since some people more or less have a "hold and build" strategy. And it can make a huge difference in both cases if you conquer an unclaimed castle/town, etc
