I just eliminated a player from a match, picked up his cards, had a set and ..... had no option to play them????? The only options were attack/end attacks. Needless to say, I'm sure I'm going to lose that game now.

That's because when you get their cards, you have to have a total of 5 or more cards in your hand at that point for a mid-turn cash

But when you get 6 cards, how come if you have two sets you can turn in TWICE? Because once you turn in once, you'll be down to 3 cards which is not 5 or more ...

Once you hit 5 or more cards after eliminating a player, you go into a cash the card action phase. You then can cash as many sets as you want. Then you go back to attack phase.

Mind elaborating on that? Do we just randomly play that way because we feel like it, it was suggested and approved, to avoid copyright laws and altering Risk just a little bit, or does it just make the game go faster?

CC is not Risk
CC has no affiliation with the hasbro game risk, and never will. Lack was cheap and didn't want to deal with lawyers and copyright. CC is its own seperate entity completely separate from hasbro

there are two rule sets that the game CC emulates (but isnt actually) and one set, the one we use now and is older allowed you to turn in until you chose to stop once you hit 5 or more cards from an elimination
the newer rule set (i think i can pin this one down to 1999 rules) said you can only turn in until you are 4 or lower
i might have it reversed though
