Well each player has 24h to play, i think this should be lowered to 14hours at least, it would speed up the game, because people would watch the progress more, and by that fact play more.
Thank you.

I have thought a lot about that and it's better the way it is.
for example somebody plays at 10 of the night and the next guy is already asleep, he goes to work in the morning so he has no chance to see it until he is back, and he is back like at 6 or 7 of the night, so 24 hrs are alright.
I think nobody will understand that because of my english :=( (I from chile)
But I just said that 24 hrs is ok.

people also have lives man, 24hrs is generic, it means u can always log on at a set time, say 6pm every evening, and know u havent missed a turn.
if u want to play shorter faster games, spend the money, buy premium and play speed games

That isnt possible, bacause of the time zones!
When I (Belgium) play with someone who lives in Sydney,
and I play at 2PM, a normal time in the noon, In Sydney it's midnight. Which means the Sydney player -when he gets up at 10AM- only has 4 hours to play! (In your suggested time of 14h)

I like playing speed games and I also like the advantage of having 24hours at times but I think a 3rd game option would be nice like 12hr. I am fortunate that my job allows me some free time to log on quite often and I realize that others may not. I do not think we should ever force the CC members to play faster because of that.

I would enjoy the 12hour third option as well.

I shall direct you to the 2 stickies at the top of this forum
First of all, the form, useful for any suggestion.
Second ( ironicly, the first stiky ) it's already on the to-do list.

varying turn time limits is on the to do but i think that 12 hours has been rejected simply because there isnt any time to sleep with that limit lol

12 hours is a weird number. I go to sleep at 10:30 and don't get home from school the next day until at the earliest 2:30...so I would miss all of my turns.

It has been said too many times, and it's in fact in the to-do list. But MANY ideas can come from that, ans some have been rejected. What we know: it has been said before.

As much as speed games are there, it will probably be something along those lines: Not 24 hours standard, not 5 minutes speed games..

I know it's on the to-do list. I read it. I just thought it was funny to see one post saying it's on the list and the very next post to say it'll never happen.

The nice thing about having 24 hours is that a player can feel safe from missing turns without having to log on more than once a day.

Different times are on the todo list, this suggestion is about
changing the time for ALL games/

The problem comes when you're playing a 6 player sequential game, and you can end up having the best part of a week between turns!

Well it's close enough for me to think it's funny.

They are keeping the standard at 24 hours. The reaons has been said already, you can log once a day at the very exact same time and not miss any turns.
24 hours is the magic number here.
There will be other options one day.
And if you look at it..20 hours..How many people play their turns in the last 4 hours of the 24 hours? Not many. And waiting 19 hours won't be much than waiting 23 hours. So 20 doesn't work, either.

The standard 24 hours is for the casual (read: freemium) players. If you are dedicated enough to play more often than that, then you are using more of the server's bandwidth and should therefore support the site (buy premium).
I have a feeling that there will NOT be any more variety to turn times added. Speed games have already been tweaked to add 2.5 minutes upon elimination of an opponent. Basically - you're either there playing real time (speed) or you're playing a casual game.
If you can't stand to wait more than 24 hours (sequential games can take up to 5 or 6 days if all six people take a while to take their turns), then maybe you should play freestyle?
The main page says that this is for the "casual" (read: once per day) player. There are enough deadbeats as is - this would only add to the problem of new players not realizing it's a window of fewer than 24 hours when joining. Lackattack (the site adminstrator) does not want more deadbeats.

Did you seriously just say who lackattack was. I think everyone on the site knew that.
