Card Colors [To-do]

Postby snitty on Sat Dec 08, 2007 6:39 pm

I know you guys have a color blind feature for the map (thank god) but could you add something like that for the cards too? This must be baffling for people who aren't color blind but I can't tell the difference between the green and red cards, which makes it take *way* too long to cash them in when I have an assortment, I effectively have to guess which are red and green.

Alternatively, you could shift the colors a bit, to a orangey red and blue-green. (Think traffic lights.)

While this utility isn't perfect, it will give you an idea of how good the colors are, if you choose that route:

Believe me, I searched the forums, but, sadly, the search feature sucks a bit, so while I found the post about the maps, I couldn't find one about the cards.

I agree MANY times I have thought I had a trade in but didnt. And when I have 5 cards I have to try all the possible combos sometimes to get it to work.

also listing the color of a player next to their name would save me the trouble of remembering the color order. In my hast I have attributed a player with the wrong color, which has caused a few suprises, usually nothing game changing just irratating and simple to fix.

Quiet Rocketry, just because new people post doesn't make them cheaters! :)

I kind of like the idea...it would be a good option to have.

I'm pretty sure this was mentioned before - but yes I agree that this should be added as part of the ColourBlind features...

Why not? It makes sense. Just add it to the current "colorbind map" option. Instead of just showing the color of the players on the map, it also includes it on the player list and in the cards.

Cool. Now why didn't you change the title to reflect that??? Geez, the turtle is slacking.

Edit: He fixed it.

Yes, I'll include both. I'll even take it one step further and make it something you can toggle in-game like map size. That way non-colourblind people can use it because in some situations we all have trouble distinguishing the armies.

This will be part of the upcoming update :)
