Mega-CC map-age...

<Subject>:
Concise Idea

<Body>:

Suggestion Idea: Much like the alternate 'dual earth' set of rules, allow for maps to be 'connected'

Specifics: Each map would have it's own page, but armies would have points at which you could move from one to the next. Army and territory totals would be game wide on each page however.
This would only work with maps that have been added to a special list of maps that can be 'linked'.
Each map would have two (just to pick a number) places that 'link', to keep things uniform. (In dual Earth games, Earth Alpha Alaska links to Earth Beta Kamchatka, and vice versa. Fun way to play.)
You could potentially link more then two maps, for an even greater challenge.

Why it is needed: It's not, it just sounds like fun. The XML challenge seems minimal, though I could be wrong, and, as usual, it would be 'optional', so traditionalists wouldn't have to subject themselves to the heresy.

Priority - Very Low

Widow Makers is attempting to make a map like this. It's in Map Ideas - it's called Time and Place.

Not my suggestion AA, though I think that is a cool map idea.

Dual RISK, the idea which I think would be cool, if it can be adapted to Conquer Club, is when you put two map boards next to each other. I've played it a few times, and it has it's own interesting attraction.

With CC, it would be placing any two of the amazing and unique maps developed here 'next to each other', for game purposes, not literally.

As mentioned in the original post, this would require four extra bits-o-XML, IF (big if) XML can handle the fact that it connects two territories on DIFFERENT MAPS.

Each map would have it's own game play of course, so it would make for an interesting mix. Imagine, for example, combining World 2.1, with Age of Merchants?

Pretty cool...

The bottom line of course is 'can it be done', only slightly more important than 'would the people, and the powers that be, think this would make for a better, richer, funner experience'.

I think it would, if it can happen, I'd like to see if anyone else shares, or dislikes, the idea....
