An idea, when look up someone's profile it would be interesting to be able to see statistics on how many times they offer alliances and how many they accept. Possibly the way this would be kept tallied is when you are playing a game an icon or something appears meaning that someone in the game is offering you an alliance. If you click on it, you accept. And then it's forever in your profile.

I'm not too keen on this, many people make a short 1 or 2 turn alliance just to weaken the stronger player, and knowing how many alliances a person has made doesn't really tell you much about their playing style.
Please remember to use The Form when posting suggestions.

Thanks, and have a wonderful day!

Yes, that is only your opinion. But no matter what you think it is a statistic, and people work on statistics. Very simple. I'm not actually asking for your opinion. It's my idea, and if powers to be want to consider it in the future then so be it.

Many people would just ignore such a button and use the game chat instead.

well, she is a moderator, and by posting it, you are in effect asking for everyones opinion.

My opinion is the same. For one thing its an impossible task. The definition of an alliance is elusive at best. And there are players that never use them, use only vague temporary ones, and those that use very structured long ones as part of their regular strategy. There is no way to keep track of this statistically. Its also the primary reason for feedback to keep track of this. If players use alot of unsportsmanlike alliances it will show up there.

Also, I could easily be credited with hundreds of alliances but if you see how I use them in a game, its obvious they are nothing to fear... and I acutually reject real alliances with structure on a regular basis, mostly because I enjoy the ambiguity of not knowing whats going to happen in a game.

In any case, though I understand what youre going for here, it just isnt going to happen for many reasons. The only way something like this would apply, is if the site allowed secret alliance games, then it would be a useful stat to see how many of these a player played... but since that wouldnt happen for a long time in here... Id say your idea just isnt practical
