Game variation suggestion

It just struck me as kinda odd that if for example you own all of Oceania on a standard world map, all your reinforcements can be magically deployed on a single territory in say Europe or the US if they're not directly connected. Has it been thought of before now to limit each territory bonus to somewhere WITHIN that territory/region? Might make an interesting variant if you can't parachute in umpteen millions onto a small area, they have to deploy on their home turf then fortify to the destination.

hmmm...

seems interesting, I would think that they'd make it so that it had an on/off option (ie- fog of war)
I say do it ;)

isnt there a suggestion similar to this? supply lines or something. basically you have a base and you can only deploy on territories connected to the base i believe

Isn't that a rule in actual Risk? That would probably put CC in the positon of copyright infringement...I don't know? Maybe not...but I like the idea myself, but I do think that is a specific rule for the Hasbro Risk game.

I think there was a version of Risk where continental bonuses had to be placed within the continent for which they were earned. It makes for a more strategic game, in my opinion...

I know the risk board we used to play on had that rule. You had to put your continent bonus inside your continent. It also let each player choose their territories in the beginning instead of randomn, but we always used to just mix the cards up and divide them equally amidst the players. Then the player had to fort those countries in the beginning. Then we handed all the cards back to be reshuffled. Then, for some reason, we never played with the domino effect. I don't know why...I don't think anyone really read those rules very well...hehe. That was a long time ago.
