Point scoring

Do the points lost/gained correspond to the rank held by each player at the start or end of the game? I think it should be the start because you could begin many games very badly but just hold on for a long time and in other games you are doing great and climbing the rankings. By the time you finish the games you started badly in (as a rookie) you could be a sergeant or higher and lose many more points.

The points lost/gained occur when the points are physically lost/gained...

Yes you probably are correct...

However I believe this has been suggested before..

This is a bad idea because it would promote losing points in the short term.

If you got your score down to 200, then for each game vs 5 1000 pointers, you would lose 4 points for a loss and gain 500 for a win. As you can see, making conqueror would be rather easy :) - after deadbeating down to 200 - start 50 games vs average 1000 pointers. 8 or more wins would take you to the very top of the leaderboard.

well no it wouldnt, if you have 200 points and you win 500 you'll have 700. That doesnt even make you a private. and once you get to that 700, unless yu managed to get in a game with a bunchof high class palyers you wont be able to maintain that type of winning score.

The guy above was suggesting that points should be won or lost based on the players score at the start of the game. Obviously my suggested points grabbing only applies if that were to be implimented (which it won't be).
