Extended Turn Time

Postby ParadiceCity9 on Sun Oct 21, 2007 12:47 am

<Subject>:

* Concise Idea: Have longer time to take turns.

<Body>:

* Suggestion Idea: Have a gametype with longer times than 24 hours to take your turn.
* Specifics: Perhaps make it 48 hours, but I don't really know how long, just longer.
* Why it is needed: For many people (including myself) time is sometimes an issue, rather it be because of school, work, vacation, or anything in between.

Seems to me, optional means you don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Why such a grouch? I'm sure there are a lot of options here you don't use.

Are you afraid that you would be forced to play these kinds of games against your will???

I have no interest in longer turns, but let people who might be have say, No-boy.

why such a grouch, he asks.

I guess because I wouldn't want to wait another 72 hours for a deadbeater to get kicked.

But, as long as its an option and not the norm, then I guess its ok for the weekend warriors to have their fun too.

Make it an option, but otherwise I don't see why not. If there's enough demand for it, anyway. I'd hate to have yet another category on the games page unless it was wanted.

I would like to have a scroll down list in start a game that has varying round lengths. You would have Speed Game round lengths (although I wish they were longer), maybe 6hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs, 48hrs, etc... I don't know how high we would want to go but it would be an improvement

I can barely bring myself to agreeing with twelve hours. Six hours is simply ridiculous.

Use the Search button up top, or look on the to-do list; it should be linked there.

12 hours I like. Heck, I think I would like the 6 hour option, but obviously too many here would disagree...

If its sequential, it wouldn't be a problem.

I've taken several sequential turns (yes, in the same game) a day, so yes, it would be a problem. Not to mention there's school + sleep when I'm not on the computer, and since I can't get on before I go to school...
