way to cheat in 2 player freestyle games.

An interesting way to cheat was just done to me.
in a 2 player freestyle game one can save their turn until one minute before the 24 hours is up and since I was the last person the previous round I can not make a move until opponent does. The net result is i lose a turn, lose a chance to get a card in an escalating card game, and opponent gets 2 turns completely changing game.

see below play by play
007-10-08 06:05:25 - ICAN gets a card (I am last to play, thus can not start a round 7 turn)
2007-10-08 06:05:25 - Incrementing game to round 7 (23 hours 57 minutes elapse before his turn)
2007-10-09 06:02:52 - lybim receives 5 armies for 15 territories
2007-10-09 06:04:14 - lybim gets a card
2007-10-09 06:05:25 - ICAN missed a turn
2007-10-09 06:05:25 - Incrementing game to round 8 ( 4 seconds after my "missed turn" he goes again)
2007-10-09 06:05:29 - lybim receives 5 armies for holding Europe

anyone think this is a problem?

This has been discussed many times before and ppl are aware about this problem. It's not cheating but just bending the rules around. Lackattack is fixing this in his next update.

PS-sry for being brief but am in a hurry and will explain more when im back later unless someone else has already done so before me :P

Surely you know when the round is about to be up, and you'll have just as much time as he does to take your turn. I don't use this tactic myself, cause I'd rather have more turns than double turns, but you should know when a freestyle round will turn over.

Thanks for sending the link. It looks like the issue has been discussed and that 2/3 of the people voted for the rule change proposed and that will make cheating/abusing the freestyle game in that fashion impossible. Puzzling to see the tactic defended though, the game is not meant to be played where you are glued to the computer at a certain time. I will direct you to the cc homepage
