SUGGESTION missing turn: next turn only HALF new armies !

Hi,
For all the good and bad reasons players miss a turn or two; I think it would improve gameplay for the other active players if the missing turn would yield only HALF those armies the next active turn.
For the bad reasons it is a good thing as it "punishes" those players (it is annoying as it is also oftentimes effective..and that is unfair), and for the good reasons it is sorry, but the player is aware that this website has this 24 hr turn policy and he/she can ascertain for him/herself at the start of a game if he/she has the time for gameplay.

So are you saying multiply their armies by 1.5 instead of 2? What if they were supposed to get 3 armies, do they then get 4.5 armies next turn? Hmmmm... I suppose you could work this out, but why not just say no multiplied armies for missing turns? That would discourage it altogether.

A easier way would be to state that in addition to missing three consecutive turns, you also get booted out for missing a total of 5 turns in any game.

new here.
What happens to a disqualified player's countries after they miss three turns. Do they get redistributed or turned neutral?

Neutral IIRC in Standard games, although in Terminator games they remain the deadbeats colour and can be targeted for points.

in singles games they become neutral, except in terminator games, in dubs and trips the persons armies and cards go to a teammate

5?
120 hours waiting for one player? I think it should be 3 regardless of iof they are consecutive or not.

Why not make it a game option whether there are double armies for missed turns or not?

Right, and I understand that the request to remove making up for missed turns was rejected. But what about allowing the game creator to decide if missed turns should be recouped? I'd consider that a different suggestion, but I suspect if I made a new topic you'd just say it was already rejected despite the difference.
"Casual" or "Serious". This could also fix the complaints about shorter amounts of time per move.

I've been around for a while and I'm pretty sure that I've seen numerous threads about this topic and they have all resolved to "It's fair that the missing turn player gets double the armies. Prepare for it and deal with it!" If you want to discuss this topic, read all the other threads about this first.
