Question Marks

I am getting extremely frustrated with Question Marks who join games and then don't play. I know it has been said by others that a solution to this problem is being worked on, but when we will it be implemented? There must be an easy way to kick a Question Mark out of a game after one missed turn.

Either that, or there should be an option when you create a game to exclude Question Marks. Make them prove their willingness to play the game by playing amongst themselves for a couple games first.

I will not be renewing my premium membership until a solution is implemented.

They'll never be kicked after just one missed turn. In the interim while we wait for our "training video" to be finished, we're working on an email to send out when you sign up that outlines some things for new players. So we realize it's a problem, but we'd rather be positive in our solution, and try to get those new players back after they sign up and join a game.

Training video? This isn't about people who sign up and enter games and can't figure out how to play. It's about people who sign up and then don't bother to come back to the website for whatever reason. You could tell them 40 times before they sign up that they should finish game they start, but it won't help. I'm all for trying to get them back to play, but why should those of us who pay money to play here have to wait days between turns because of them?

I've been here a lot longer than 4 months, a lot longer than you, in fact. You can call them whatever you want. The Question Marks who enter games and don't play still suck.

Yes, like I said, we know why they're not coming back = because they can't play right away and may have to wait 24 hours to go. The flash intro will make this clear before they join games. That, in combinations with other measures/options, should lessen the newbie deadbeat problem.

If you have any other brilliant proactive ideas, we'd love to hear them.

Thats even funnier, you have been here for a year and 4 months and you call them question marks still. Yes, I agree, the new recruits who join games but dont play annoy me

If you think that's the reason then go ahead and create the video. Those of us who didn't need training videos will continue to wait, and wait, and wait on deadbeat Question Marks. Actually, I do have a proactive idea. When they sign up make them read something that says "Turns can take up to 24 hours. If you can't be patient, don't play." This warning shouldn't take more than about 10 minutes of programming to create.

That's basically what the email and flash training intro will both do. Thanks, glad to know you think we're on the right track.
