Why do we need a cheating post ?
Yeah I know why, sure, but isn't it the task of CC to eliminate the multies.
Why must everone mostly without reason accuse eachother here. It looks like the "Stazie" of East Germany where everyone distrused the others.
I want CC to quit this post
If we need to, we can send an email to the mods to examine a certain game.
So get rid of this Post
What does the rest of the CC users think of this ???

ive never seen this suggested before. i certainly see what you mean and agree that is is a shame CC needs a cheating + abuse forum. trouble is there are still multis. the forum is far more practical than PM or emailling mods i would think. see what others think but i recon the forum is the best way to combat multis

It's because there are rule breakers out there, and although they do routine scans to find them, they can't catch them all that way. So, they have that forum to catch some of them.

The forum helps guide the MODs to find more multis more efficiently. Plus it allows others to drop by and either lend their support for the busting or telling the accuser to lay off because they are completely mistaken.

I'm all for the Naming and Shaming of cheaters/abusers. I don't see a problem with having that particular avenue for reporting to the Mods. It's actually better for the community to see if there is already a thread about the person they want to accuse, as opposed to squillions of messages being sent to the Mods, which could all be about the same suspect/s.

Even if we got rid of the cheating and abuse forum and replaced it with something else people would still make threads about it that would clog the other forums.

like plato said the other day, when there is cheating in CC, there can be no justice...the forum is the closest thing to justice...
there are plenty that accuse too much, but are plenty that counter that when it seems unjustified....
personally, id like to see players follow a few simple rules when posting...if you think its an actual multi account post it...but wait till after the game
if you think its a secret alliance....DO NOT POST UNTIL GAME IS OVER
you have to see how the game plays out...if you dont you taint the investigation anyways since they can cover thier tracks...but more likely, you will find by the end of the game your suspicions were unwarranted, and there was no cheating
and by no means post in the game...absolutely foolish...it ruins way more good games than it has to...just wait...play it out....see what happens...if its suspicious till the end, you gave it your best shot...and post...but if you suspect a secret alliance, you have to be careful...there are many ways to play this game, and not every one border means an alliance...just a strategy...
but the forum is the only way for players to learn about cheaters, and cheating...it gives the accused a chance to explain...and promises almost every multi and real secret alliance that they will eventually be found out, and thereby nullify every real win theyve had in here...if you cheated for one point, none of them mean anything...
its too bad the forum exists, but it really is the only way i think

ridiculous idea, how else are instances of cheating able to be reported?

e.g. By sending a request useing the contact form.
More private, less damaging when it turns out unjust. When its true, the player will be blocked anyways so thats not an issue anymore.
so, more reasons not to have a public forum for this.

that wont work.
Cause there are already sometimes more than 1 thread about each multi. if no one could SEE the other reports, the mods would be getting tons of messages about the same people.

A bit of housekeeping but since you would require requests to have the names of those involved or a game number its easy to keep track of.
