A qualm with freestyle mode

OK first a quick story illustrating my point, then a possible solution.

I was playing a freestyle game with my dad and my brother. I eliminated my dad so it was just my brother and I. Of course there was the tough talk between the two of us about who was going to win and whatever, but then he said something that caught my attention. He said he was going to make me miss my turn, and, therefore, put himself in a prime position to win. At first I dismissed the threat as something he made up, but then he delivered, and if it weren't for us being in the same house, I would have missed my turn. I was the last person to go in the previous round, so I had to wait for him to start his turn in order to go again. He waited til approximately the last five minutes of the round's time to start his turn, effectively giving me a five minute window to take my turn.

To account for this, I think freestyle mode should be changed so that the time for the round resets when the first person of that round takes his/her turn. That way, everyone gets more of an equal opportunity to take their turn, without having to worry about malicious strategies such as the above, which would have worked if I had gotten home from work five minutes later.

Sorry but i just have to reply to this, If you were smart when he said that, then you'd let your turn timer run out giving you an Hour before the end of his turn was up to play.... there's still no real qualm about free style you had a way to prevent it and didn't... so your fault... have fun and enjoy... and please stop crying

oh I enjoy freestyle mode, and its idea of everyone playing at once causing a big jumble and mass confusion, that's fun. I'm just saying that in 1 v 1 games it could very well be used to rack one's score up without having to actually play. I'm not whining-like I said, it didn't hurt me as I knew he when he was going to take his turn and as I'm here in the same place as him it's not as easy to get away with something like that- I'm just saying that other people can lose duel matches without even getting a chance to play with this.

and about this:

I'm not sure what you're thinking, but that really doesn't help you at all. First off, you don't get a card, which never helps. Second, you are limited not only by the hour turn limit, but by the 24 hour round limit, and if you can only start your turn, say, 30 seconds before the end of that round limit, you only get 30 seconds to take your turn, reguardless of the hour turn time.

the freestlye block is a part of freestyle sometimes.

but it is easy to counter since if he is doing it, you know exactly when he is going to move, and have 24 hours to prepare yourself to move at that time, and use the information to your advantage.

i like the feature. adds an extra weapon to either use or defend against.

but yeah, if you dont like it, stick to sequential.
