Did he say something!

Subject: A "NEW chat" icon appears in my games next to the game that someone said something in.

Body: When you are trying to strategize with a teammate you don't want to have to look in every single game to see if someone said something. So when someone sayds something new A "NEW CHAT" icon appears next to the game. Will go away once you look in the game that has that.

Priority: 1, it really isn't that important just saves a few seconds.

Then I would go to all your games and type comments in the chat just to make you look.

wicked wouldn't do that, simply because she doesn't have the time.

Shouldn't we focus less on how mean wicked is, and more on how good this idea is.

I would like it. esp. for team games. I am always making a move just after my partner has said something.

the fun with the suggestions forum is that everytime someone puts up an idea, there is always some one who says: well i like it but only as an option. i geuss i am the one to say it right now :)

I like it - the number of times I have to rant and rant to get a weaker player to stop suiciding on me before he sees the game chat is ridiculous. I find myself having to send pms. So, as long as Wicked isn't around, this is a good idea :D

Completely agree. What a fine idea. You should really copyright this, you don't want anyone stealing it. :D

Too late several people have already taken the idea as their own.

I would actually prefer it be not in my games, but in the game itself. Somewhere near the top. Sometimes, I will be using the chat from the beginning, and nothing from my teammate, so I assume they don't use it, and don't notice that two days ago they finally said something in round 80(obvious hyperbole)! I would like for a little message to pop up to the right of the map upon entering a game or refresh if there is something recent in the game chat.

yeah!
And sometimes in team games, some players dont look at the team chat and dont see the plan his team has made, so he just does his stuff and wrecks the plan and so, loses the game, but with this, those players will notice their teamates said something and then follow the plan and win, maybe.

Exactly how doable is this idea? Unless there's another way, I only see it working if they:

1) Created another cookie (or cookies - possibly 1 per game) to put onto your computer from ConquerClub.

2) Send the timestamp of the last chat frequency in the gamechat.

Might be more work than benefit.
