Middle East Map???

Postby paulsepp on Thu Jun 14, 2007 5:51 am

I love the new middle east map, but we called the one region IRAN??? It is Persia, or so it has been called for thousands of years. Maybe we could use a dose of history here, but it should have never gotten off the books as IRAN. The people who live there now and have so for generations call it Persia, because that's what it is. We called other regions Arabia and Egypt, lets keep the names historically correct. We called other regions Arabia and Egypt, lets keep the names historically correct. I guess we are going with bush/fox speak these days...
I would love to hear some opinions on this topic...

take it up in the foundry. If you want thinks done with maps you have to be involved in the map making process. KEYOGI who done teh revamp went throught the foundry process (Which is difficult) and got the map quenched. So clearly no one else see this as a problem.

Sorry, but I do not understand this reply. By the way my posting was made after I had a few drinks. Also, if no one else thinks its a problem than we all should read more about middle east history.

What Wisse meant is that the Middle East map was recently revamped, but KEYOGI could only update the graphics, not the gameplay, names, or anything else.

You'd have to contact the original author in order to get it changed.

I think what AK means is that if Paul wants to get it changed, *he* should contact the original author.

Also, the original author is a hardcore map maker and feels that how he has it was most geographically accurate, so I doubt its getting changed.
