This isn't practical I imagine, but... a 'Save Game' button

Postby T7 on Sun Jun 10, 2007 8:21 pm

Most games reach a point where things are very interesting and it could go one of a number of ways.

It would be nice to have a button to save the game at that point (if all players agreed) so all players could go back to that interesting point after the game, and play on from there again - trying a different tactic or something.

It's not at all practical (both in terms of points and programming), so it's not an actual suggestion - just something to groove on for a bit of fun.

Wouldn't it be nice resolving all those "If I'd only..." thoughts? :))

Well, since it's not an actual suggestion, you should have put it in General…

Anyway, I kinda like this. I've had several "If only…" moments, and I'm sure that some people would love this (myself included) :)

kind of goes along with my idea (request) of being able to download movie type game logs of the games you finish playing for posterity sake. You could go to any point in the game and set it up in real life to play it out. Then, if you are really inclined, you could do that from a few points in the game to see where the real turning point was.
