Cards for running out of time...

I definately think that players should still get cards for turns that they take a territory on, but just don't get to end the turn. I don't see any reason why they don't do that now, and it's really annoying to not get cards because you had to get off the computer.

Gee. I dont know. Maybe because it only takes a couple seconds to end your turn and if you do get logged off you have a good part of an hour to get back on and end your turn. And maybe it's to deter people from being annoying and purposely running out the clock for one reason or another. Maybe......

Actually... I consider running out of time and not receiving a card a strategy in some games, particularly escalating cards. Say you don't want to get a card this round so that your cash-in will be worth more the next round, but you don't want to hold the game up for 24 hours and miss a turn either... So you deploy your troops, make your attacks, but just don't end your turn. It only wastes 1 hour instead of 24, and it could potentially win you the game.

If you do want a card, it only takes a second to hit End Forts and get one. So unless there's a power outage or something, you should have time to finish your turn.

A variation on this. One time I deliberatelty ran out of time in an Escalating game in a 3 team doubles game, so the next player wouldn't get a new set if he took me out, to prevent a "chain-reaction".
