Future risk addition

Postby Razgriz1 on Thu May 17, 2007 4:36 pm

hey all, I've always been a fan of the risk 2210 game, and I was just seeing how many other people would like it added, also, for the mods, I know that it would be extreemly difficult, and take alot of time to make, but I think it would be a worth-while addition to the family of risk games here.
thanks,

Razgriz 1.

There may be copyright problems with using that map and the name. :?

We do have a Map Foundry, where you could make a map similar to Risk 2210 and call it by a different name. I've never played that game before, but I assume the game mechanics are different than your average game. We're also taking suggestions for XML changes that you'd like to see in game, it's in a sticky in the Map Foundry.

AndyDufresne or KEYOGI would know more about it, thats their area of expertise.

the 2210 map is exactly the same as the classic map except without the moon and sea cloinies. Unless you are reffering to the rules. Command cards have been susgested and turned down. leaders such as the diplomat I believe are pending but Im not sure.

yeah I mean the rules, but even if not the rules, tha map is pretty cool, so it would be like programming an normal map, exept by doing the space stations.

Risk 2210 is copyrighted by Wizards of the Coast and they wouldn't let that happen. I'd love it though, I much prefer 2210 to normal risk. But as far as just making a map that looks like 2210, it wouldn't be enough without the card game play and the commanders and 8 sided die.

we do have a map that looks like 2210. Classic. The only thing thats different is the country names. If you want you could try making one in the foundry. Just take classic and add water colonies and some space stations
