[GP] Swapping board positions or going first

Concise description:
  • Rather than "randomly" determining who goes first in a 1v1, "randomly" determine who gets to choose first between going first or choosing board positions.

Specifics/Details:
  • If player a. goes first then player b. gets to choose between his initial board position or his opponents. If player a. decides to choose to swap board positions then player b. would go first.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Make 1v1's more fair by balancing out the advantages of going first.

Cool idea. It's like that trick that moms have when dividing up a piece of cake among brothers: One cuts, the other gets to pick.

then manual could be where you one player picks the territories that each side has, and semi-automatic would be what is now manual

Good idea but there is exactly a 0% chance this will get implemented in our lifetimes.

Maybe our children's children will see this.

turn order isn't decided until after deployment in manual. This suggestion would come in when turn order is decided. It just would add an extra step of selecting a color. So, you would still have an incentive to deploy well in case you got to go first. But this would add a new wrinkle.
