I think in the options for setting up a game, you should be able to turn on or off the extra armies for missing turns.
I realize you are supposed to be strategically aware of the possibility of extra armies from players missing turns, but sometimes they are unbelievably sneaky about it. I have seen it happen not once, but twice, where a player would build up all in one area of the board, then miss a couple of turns in a row so everyone thinks they've given up on the game, then finally plop 9 armies on the board not in their main kingdom but in the middle of nowhere and just ransack you from behind. I consider this sleazy and will mention it in at least a neutral feedback if not a negative one (depends on if they used the strategy only once during the game or constantly).
I realize you want to give people a break for accidentally missing a turn, and I think games should be allowed to have that option. But I also think you should have the option of creating a "strict" game: you miss a turn, tough luck.
