The player who finishes a round in a freestyle game should be able to go after 12 hours, a sufficient time for the other player to go in between the two turns of the round finisher yet leaves a sufficient time for the player who finished a round to play.
I was playing a freestyle game when it was down to myself and another player. I had finished the previous round and my only remaining opponent did not go until 30 minutes left in the round of play. They then played another turn and I consequently lost the game. This will allow both players to take their turn, increasing the enjoyability of games and making losses less bitter.
