Real Time Tab Take 2

I dont have a clue why the last thread i made was locked, so if the same thing happens to this one, kindly explain WHY!?

Idea:
When creating a game, there should be a little tickbox to hit if you want the game to be specifically created for a real-time (RT) match.

Specifics:
This way, it should go into a little section at the top of the 'Join a game' list, specifically designed for those who want a RT match.

The tab itself shouldnt affect the game, so if one player has to leave, (irritating though it may be), the game degenerates into a normal game without any problems.

The game should, however be in the 'RT section' for only an hour before it gets (in a sense) demoted into an ordinary public game. This means that if you start a RT game but it isnt filled after a short period, you wont get it filling up whilst you are asleep and hence stop the RT which you created yourself.

Priority 5

Anyone need more clarification on this idea? Comments? All views appreciated.

It was most likely locked because this has been suggested and is on the To-Do List Speed Games

Please read the To-Do list before suggesting.[/url]

No clue why it was locked either? :?

While I think it's a slightly different idea than speed games, I think it will be covered by the upcoming speed games option. I don't think this by itself is foolproof though, as you'll still have noobs join and not understand what RT is ... yes, even if you explain it at the top, since people have proven time and time again they don't read instructions.

lol, i didnt really think it was covered by speed games moz - and even if it was, that doesnt justify the locking without explanation - and thanks for the input wicked; But that'll always be a problem, wont it?

In which case, you can put the RT list at the BOTTOM because noobs tend to click the first game in the list.

I still think it can work independent of speed games.

I do like the idea of giving speed games a separate tab though. :-k

p.s.. thanks for using the form!

I would think that people who started a real time game would not want it to demote to a regular game especially people who are not premium members and only have a limited number of games.

And since we really don't know what exactly Lack has in mind for speed games we don't know if it will cover your suggestion or not.

just my 2 cents

I hears ya moz.

And as for the demotion idea, well you could make it optional as in 'recall game after 1hr' - if not enough people have joined, instead.

but then again, if it is a RT that you want, the person ought to be on an hr later ANYWAY to cancel the game if he realises he wont have enough time to play!

(silleh american spelling)

Speed Games will have their own tab. There is not much of a point in making RT suggestions until Speed Games comes out. For now, we only support casual games.
