Training Game Setting ?

Hi there.

What we suggest is that you add a game setting of "TRAINING GAME" to the Start a Game settings.

We play "training games" that we set up with Friends, and all we do is agree to the following 3 rules.

1) You can only take 2 of your opponents territories per turn.
2) You can take as many neutrals as you want per turn.
3) When you are both ready to stop "training" and begin taking as many territories as you want, you both have to agree on it.

We do this a lot on more complex maps like "waterloo", or "forbidden city" maps like that.

We kinda had too because there are a ton of "FARMERS" out there stealing points from beginners.

It is a safe/relaxed way to play and learn the "HARDER MAPS" without being "taking advantage off" by more advanced players.

I know you just recently added round limits to the settings and that was awesome.

You guys are great thank you for all your unappreciated effort.

or you lose them instead of loose them...

Anyway, I would just try to get someone who wants to learn the map, like you do and try to play with them. I'm sure there are a ton of people that would like to do this to learn maps.

I think it's a great idea.

There's a similar idea called adjacent attacks in submitted suggestions http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=535&t=51364. It isn't the same but seems to cover off a similar approach to the one you have.

The downside I see to these 'training games' is that they encourage a quite different style of play to what will be successful in a regular game. In a regular game if you spend all your troops trying to build an empire based mainly on taking neutrals then you'll be easily taken out by others.

Finally, a few people agree to non-standard rules, so if you are looking for other players you could always post in the callouts forum. That may help you to find players who will voluntarily play by those rules.

You have already posted this suggestion (about three weeks ago) so I merged the two threads. In the future, please bump an old thread instead of re-posting the same idea in a new thread. Thanks!
