Highlighting speed games.

Concise description:- Highlight speed games when getting the list from the game finder.
Specifics/Details:- When using the game finder, speed games and casual games are listed in the same list. To avoid picking speed games by mistake, having the background colour different (a soft blue perhaps) of the game in the list would avoid joining a speed game by mistake.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:- Sometimes you forget to click the casual check box, and you join a speed game by mistake, and then leave your computer. Having a different colour background would make it easier for people to avoid such a mistake, and would lower the unintentional deadbeating.

hi,
Just tap the box "Casual" at the game finder menu.
And how would this benefit the players that are colourblind?

Bingo...just tell gamefinder that you only want "casual" games (or "speed games", conversely).

Colour blind people don't see black and white. Find a colour that shows up for most colour blindness and there will be no problem.

I personally am shade-blind. I can see color, but various shades of colors give me a LOT of problems. Damn circle-test...I didn't even understand what I was supposed to be seeing until they explained it to me after the test was over. All I could see were a few circles.

Question for you, do you play with the letters in front of the troop number, or can you tell some of the colours apart in the game?

I think this is a great idea. You people that keep repeating click the box he clearly stated on opening post its easy to forget, or sometimes I. Accidentally hit boxes twice, no big issue when its the waiting for players box, but I understand how it causes issues when the speed box is the mistake.
Its a simple addition, that wouldn't effect anyones gameplay, only benefit, so why not?

I CAN distinguish the colors that CC uses if I really focus on things very closely (and how bad it is very much depends on the color scheme of the map itself), but it's very tiring. So I definitely use the letter codes.

Because it's a request to implement something to correct a situation that is easily correctable itself with only a bit of attention to detail. I mean...if someone is doing this a lot, that tells me they don't learn very well.

Really? You guys are strongly against a suggestion that has no bad effect on anyone on the site? I check a lot of the boxes when I look for games. And when I get the list, all I do is look at the players already signed up and what map it is. Sometimes I join a nuclear game which I don't like because i forgot to check those settings, or I clicked nuclear by mistake. Other times, I will join a freestyle game by mistake.
I like to join games in big clumps sometimes, and I make those mistakes all the time, and for the most part I don't care so much because I want to medals, so I just play through settings I'm not too fond of. The speed game error I can avoid because the Speed Game label... if I catch it. Since the label is already programmed in there, I doubt it would be hard to implement the background colour.
My question to the nay sayers is this... how many people play on this site? What if the mistake happens once or twice to just a portion of those players. It's not about people being stupid and not learning. It's just adding a failsafe to avoid a mistake that is not just frustrating to the one who makes it (I lost 30 points in a game I never stepped foot in... and for the record, those are the first three turns I have missed since joining this site) and it's frustrating to the guys who want to play a speed game and a player misses his turns...
There is no negative effects for this change, and I doubt it would take more than 5 minutes for the webmaster to code in.
