Concise description:

• Change the actual tournament medals (win and organizing) to a new format

Specifics/Details:

• The actual system only allows 30 medals for winning and running tournament. The new system will show the exact number of medals gained.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

• It will be a more accurate system.
• There will be a new set of 3 trophies that players can fight for.
• Medal count on profile will be acurate

The suggestion is that we can create different types of trophies. Instead of putting the Roman Number where the Plaque goes, we can use regular numbers.


Here are the new proposed medals for the tournament wins:


BRONZE TROPHY: From 1 to 50 tournament wins.
Trophy will be numbered from 1 to 50



SILVER TROPHY: From 51 to 100 tournament wins.
Trophy will be numbered from 1 to 50


GOLD TROPHY: From 101+ to unlimited tournament wins.
Trophy will be numbered from 1 to Unlimited



Here are the new proposed medals for running tourneys:


BRONZE MEDAL: From 1 to 50 completed tournaments.
Medal will be numbered from 1 to 50



SILVER MEDAL: From 51 to 100 completed tournaments.
Medal will be numbered from 1 to 50



GOLD MEDAL: From 101+ to unlimited completed tournaments.
Medal will be numbered from 1 to unlimited

We can also run a CC Official Contest to create new designs if you guys dont like the ones that Im proposing.

I love the idea.

I'm not sure I completely agree with the brackets for bronze, silver, gold.
Right now I think only 1 person qualifies for Winner Golds, and 3 for Organizer golds, and I'm of the opinion the gold medal should perhaps be a little more achievable than that?

The Spanish boy has a good idea. Recognition for hard work and time is always nice. Pay is better, but that is not in this years budget.

Dont forget that this is only a suggestion. Final approval and complete details on the upgrade will be part of Lack's job.

Also, I bet you that by the end of next year, we will have more than a couple of guys with gold's!

Any feedback and new ideas/suggestions are welcome, so keep shooting them and lets make this a dream come true!

While i agree with the idea, i don't agree with the numbers. I think gold medals should be hard but attainable, 101 tournaments needed to get gold is way to much IMO.

Interesting but I think that the requirements are a bit high.... I mean... 50 for a bronze?!? There are only about a dozen people who have completed more than 50 tournaments and only three people with 100+. It's a bit high. Especially when you consider that there are only two people who have won over 50 tournaments.

Nice idea, design, etc. but requirements are unrealistic for about 99% of the CC population.

Dont forget guys, If you win 1 tourney, you automatically have a Bronze Trophy!

I dont think this is the best way, since it is too big change.
I think the best way will be to use a progresive way to do it. Since now is from 1 to 30. It can be something like this:
bronze types: (1 to 9 step 1)
I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX
Then silver types: (10 to 90 step 10)
X, XX, XXX, XL, L, LX, LXX, LXXX, XC
Then golden types: (100 to 900 step 100)
C, CC, CCC
Then as I read in HA post platinum
M, MM
or something like this.

But perhaps are too much turneys, so beter silver step 5, gold step 10 and platinum step 20.

I think:

Bronze -1-10
Silver -11-24
Gold -25-49
Platinum-50+

I like the idea, but I assume that a silver would just swap out onto the bronze instead of clogging up the medals page with both of them. Know what I mean?

The only problem is is that if this gets implemented, it breaks the general 'rule of 30' that seems to be around the site. Would Cartographers have to impose a new map system? GA & GC medals?

Just something that should be considered.
