When a game is deadlocked, allow players to petition a mod to have the game changed to escalating spoils. Must be unanimous.
Specifics/Details:
- Most games that become deadlocked (players just stockpile troops and not attack) do not use escalating spoils. If there were some way for the players to agree to switch to escalating spoils, these games might find a way to come to an end.
- Once a game gets to a certain point (like the 100th round) the players can petition a mod to have the game changed to escalating.
- The petition must be unanimous amongst the remaining players in the game.
- The mod would then have the ability to change the settings in the game to escalating, starting with 4 troops.
- Since all players will have a large number of troops at this point, it will take a while for the number of troops to become significant, but that will prevent the timing of this change from giving an unfair advantage to any player.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Most players hate these games. This would provide a possible way to end them without just waiting for people to deadbeat.
