Real Time Option *Rejected*

Concise description:
  • Adding a "real time" option when creating a game

Specifics/Details:
  • An option to notify any potential players for the game that it will be played in Real Time

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • This will benefit "Freemiums" because while they are not able to play speed games, they can still mimic the actual way of playing the game.
  • It will dissuade players who do not realize that it is a game that is set up and that is supposed to be played in Real Time

I was in the callouts chatroom, and we had set up a Real Time game, but then someone just jumped in, and hasn't taken a turn, wrecking our plans.

Credit goes to aage for the idea

I totally agree with this. And if someone doesn't take turn in 15-20 minutes it should be missed turn and after 3 misses he/she should be kicked from game

This is a beautiful idea. Not too sure about edoode's idea b/c that would defeat the purpose of premium membership, though. As I am learning, conquerclub after all, is a business!

But the very inclusion of "real time" being including in the settings is a great idea. I've learned that if you would like to play a real time game, you need to either A) go to callouts and set it up or B) buy premium membership. I tried to set up 2 real time games now via callouts and both times, some random person joined, killing the hopes of a real time game. With all 4 of my games filled, that can be bothersome.

Great idea, QoH!

Exactly what happened to us!

This has been suggested before. The problem with this is, that it basically removes the need for speed games. If you want to play a quick game, without paying money towards this site, you are going to have to risk making an "rt" game. If we were to implement RT games, it would vastly impact how many people would buy Premium to play speed games, which are much quicker, and are basically like RT games.

OK, I understand that. Thank you. But is it possible to do something such as add tags, or even name a game?

Been discussed before, and it was shot down.

I don't think freemium players should be able to play speed/RT games, but they should be able to make private games or send invites, to stop random players jumping in. :o

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have that option? I believe it's called "speed game".

read again.
OP is requesting the ability to tag games with the RT tag. This is currently only feasible with tournament games.
Also premium players have the ability to password protect games. This would serve the OP's need to the extent that he can then reserve spots, however he needs to be a premium, so that negates the advantage..
so far, i think your suggestion mimics the premium package a bit too closely to pass inspection, after all the options you mentioned are availiable, but at a price.

basically, this one is gonna get rejected by admin. they have a form of real time games, speed games, that are exclusive to premium membership. They won't offer it simply because this is a business and they want premium to be appealing. If they implemented it, it would make premium seem lesser.
