Seeing Nuclear In Log

With the new Nuclear Spoils, it would be nice to know when you got blasted and how many troops you lost. Sometimes when there is a long lag between your turns (in games with a lot of people) when your turn comes up you can't remember if you had troops there or how many. My suggestion would be:

1) with fog of war turned on, the person who got blasted would be able to see in the log how may of his troops got killed by someone playing cards (just his own 'deaths', so as not to impede the fog of war gameplay).

2) with no fog of war, when you play a set, list which spoils killed how many and from which player.

Nuclear games should log who lost territories in a strike.

Concise description:
When a nuclear strike happens, the territories that are nuked are listed. However, nothing in the log states who lost (and what).

Specifics:
The players listing shows the number of territories own by each player. If you watch the strike and subsequent update in the player list, you can deduce who lost a territory (in the case of fog of war where you cannot tell by map inspection).

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Things like BOB do not give accurate reflections of territory ownership. This would let tools that analyse the logs, keep better and more accurate statistics and analysis.

The log could just be a simple "timestamp: <player1> lost X in a nuke strike" with a "?" in the case of Fog of War.

I Split that first post from an ancient topic, and then merged it with this one.

I disagree with this part in the second post. The first post, however, I agree with how it treats Fog.

why so, Bones? In a fog of war when someone takes a territory in the fog, we are told exactly who took it and from whom. That isn't any different from a nuke in the fog.

I don't agree with saying how many armies were lost, though. That would be new info (unless it becomes standard for all games...).

Sure it's different. You'd know the person hit AND the territory. You don't know both of those in a normal fog game. Normally you only know the person hit.

As a basic example, think of foggy nukes in an assassin Feudal (or any similar map like AoR, Pelopponesian, etc). You could find your target by watching the nukes until someone happens to hit your target.

I'd be more up to changing Fog rules so that other than the player attacking and the player attacked, the game log doesn't show the other players the names in any scenario. Personally I think more things should be hidden in fog than are now, not less.
