Freestyle simul play issue

Playing your turn at the same time as another player leads to issues, like not seeing what they are doing until you do something, and being able to take instant win victory conditions and then when the turn rolls over, wait for one player to start their turn and then starting your turn during their deployment, autowinning the game before they had a chance to affect the game state.

Basically, I love freestyle play (greatly speeds up the game and adds a little unpredictability) but I dont think players should be allowed to take turns at the same time. Once a player starts a turn, make the acting player finish his turn before the next player can start.

Moving to suggestions, looks more like a suggestion to me.

And a lot of the fun in speed freestyle comes from being able to move at the same time as your opponent, so this won't be changed, at most another style could be created.

This is the essence of Freestyle. Every player has a chance to go at the same time. 8 Player Speed games that are on small maps, would basically be ruined.

You are asking to bring in a new gamestyle, where every person has a chance to go, but if someone starts their turn, the others must wait for that player to end. If you don't like the chance of someone playing at the same time as you, don't play Freestyle. Because I highly doubt the current Freestyle is going to be changed to this

so once a player starts a turn, everyone else is "locked" from doing so until said player finishes.. :-k

could be interesting

Not saying a NEW game type won't be implemented, but the current Freestyle won't be changed to this

The problem right now is that it has the capacity to ruin victory condition games, as it just did for me (I actually won but found it silly that my opponent had no chance to to respond to my grab of the victory conditions simply because I was online when he started his turn).

Thats an awfully simplistic and shortsighted view....rather than current freestyle which allows wide open simul play, I am asking for a a random order freestyle (whoever goes first, second , third etc' is determined by when the players take their turn) without simul turns.

If it takes another playstyle to do this, so be it.
