Mixed Spoils

Nuclear spoils is still somewhat new, but I know people are enjoying that style of gameplay. I have an idea about mixing this gameplay with our usual spoils games.

My idea is to add a color to the standard red green and blue, and designate the new color (black? orange?) as nuclear spoils. Spoils would still be turned in the same way as they have been: either 3 of a color, or 1 of 3 different colors to turn in a set. But when you turn in 3 of the nuclear color, you would only get to nuke the territories of the spoils...you get no additional troops. When you would turn in 3 different colors, including the nuclear color, you would still get the troops for it (10 in flat rate spoils) as well as nuking whatever territory your nuclear spoil is.

I think this idea is a logical next step for those who have liked the addition of nuclear spoils, as I have.

Too much, too soon. Calm down, take a few deep breaths. ;)

you can only have 3 colors. Any more and you could end up with more than 5 cards and still no set.

how? he is saying you still only turn in 3 at a time. You would still have 3 different colors or 3 of the same color when you had 5 spoils.

This idea is dumb. This takes the two settings in the game based the most on luck and combines them (nuke and flat spoils). This is "a game of strategy and risk". While there will always be luck involved, the game is based on skill, this involves no skill.
