Evil Wild Cards

I for one am enjoying the somewhat new nuclear spoils games. And I recently had an idea I wanted to try out on you...combining regular and nuclear spoils. Or 'Evil Wild Cards' as a friend has suggested.
We already have red, green, and blue spoils for games where we get a bonus for holding the spoil territory. My idea is to have another color (black? orange?) that would designate a nuclear spoil. So you can have the option of nuking someone in addition to gaining reinforcements when turning in a set.
Obviously, I think this could aid the site in creating yet another option of unpredictable game play. What do you guys think?

I like the idea, but with a slight alteration... How about if you combine nuclear spoils and regular spoils, except make it so that when you trade in a set, you get the bonus(mixed set gives you 10, blues give you 8, etc)as well as nuking the territories named? Or, even better, you get to control the nuke and only nuke one territory, of your choice?

'Evil Wild Cards' sounds like a very accurate name.
"Mixed Spoils" sounds like a great idea adding a new twist to the regular gameplay. The randomness of an annihilation when your only expecting extra army for your/opponents sets when cashed in sounds like a very devious surprise. Love it !!!

So thinking about this, I think we could do 2 different things with this proposal...
1. actual wild cards with the odds of a black (nuclear) spoil being very low. With this proposal, a black spoil would be a wild card where you could use it as any of the other 3 colors. And of course, the black spoil would nuke whatever territory it says (or as koolerthanu suggested, the territory of your choice).
2. This was more what I was originally thinking, and probably should be called Mixed Spoils instead of Wild Cards like was suggested to me. In this, we would still get the troops for flat rate spoils like usual (blue, red, green, 1 of each). But black (nuclear) spoils would be thrown in with the same probability as the other colors. The addition of my idea: you could do a mixed set including a black spoil for 10 troops and nuking whatever territory the black spoil is, or you could turn in 3 black spoils for no troops, but nuking all 3 territories.
Hopefully this makes my idea a bit easier to understand.

I just checked out Lack's to-do-list, and wild cards are on there...
viewtopic.php?t=4008...so I think this would be a logical next step for that type of game.
I think I have screwed up this thread. I'm considering making 2 separate new proposals so that both ideas can have their own thread.

Love it, it would definitely negate the effects of bad dice a bit at times..

I think it would also make fog more popular which would be nice.
It would be cool if we could get cards to see thru fog as well. Anyways, on to the next one
