Spoils Type: Nuclear / Uprising / Revolution / Famine

Spoils Type

Concise description:
  • I think that adding Nuclear spoils to the game was a great addition to CC however considering what Nuclear actually does it seems like it would be good to segregate it from the 3 types of spoils and add a category of "Spoils Type".

Specifics:
  • If you separated it from the other 3 and allowed it to become its own category called "spoils type" radio boxes that represent "Standard" and "Nuclear" could be added. Standard would be the default checked radio button.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • You would get additional game types for people to play as well as maintain the same spoils functionality nuclear already has by simply selecting "no spoils" + "nuclear".

Uprising (New Spoils Type)

Concise description:
  • In the vein of Nuclear spoils this would wipe out the existing armies in a territory and replace them with a number of neutrals equal to the armies that were in the territory.

Specifics:
  • When caching in spoils the territories that match the cards would be replaced by the same number of neutral armies as the existing army count.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • This would add another spoils type and strategy to the game. (when added to my combined spoils/spoils type suggestion above it would expand game types even further)

Revolution (New Spoils Type)

Concise description:
  • In the vein of Nuclear spoils this would wipe out the existing armies in a territory and replace them with armies of a random player equal to the armies that were in the territory.

Specifics:
  • When caching in spoils the territories that match the cards would be replaced by the same number of armies as the existing army count and a random player selected as the new owner of the territory. In an 8 player game you would have a 1 in 8 chance of quelling that revolution.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • This would add another spoils type and strategy to the game. (when added to my combined spoils/spoils type suggestion above it would expand game types even further)

Famine (New Spoils Type)

Concise description:
  • In the vein of Nuclear spoils this would reduce the armies in a territory however it would only be reset to 1 and not set to neutral.

Specifics:
  • When caching in spoils the territories that match the cards would be replaced wit 1 army of the same player that holds the territory.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • This would add another spoils type and strategy to the game. (when added to my combined spoils/spoils type suggestion above it would expand game types even further)

Really hate to do this, but i am going to bump this.

I truly think these 3 types are quite interesting. Although it might be easier to implement one at a time

I like famin, i always thought nuclear was a bit harsh.

Adding more spoils types is a great idea from my perspective as a seasoned experienced veteran of the site.

However, before we add more, we need to do more to educate the newest players to the site to get them to stick around.

My suggestion (link below) offers a great opportunity for new players to learn the site and the game:
