Hidden Assassin variant

Postby ManBungalow on Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:35 pm

Concise description:
  • Works the same as an regular assassin game, just that none of the players know who their target is for the first, let's say, three rounds.

Specifics:
  • Targets are established by the server when the game is initialized, so that an elimination before the targets are revealed will grant someone a victory.
  • Of course, the residing assassin game type would still be available.

This will improve the following aspects of the site by:
  • Creating a much more interesting variation on existing assassin games, particularly in speed ass-Doodles.
  • Hopefully limiting the number of suicidal fools throwing away their troops before you get a chance to have your say.
Well, I think you can work out the rest from there.

I like it, it adds a layer to assassin that is somewhat lacking now.

I'd definitely play on it, it would be a n00b block wouldn't it?

Could be easily hackable...
and wouldn't the amount of turns you can't see your target depend on the map size? bigger maps = more turns hidden.

I am thinking that most good players would just stack the first 3 rounds. not knowing who your target is would discourage any attacking whatsoever. Then after everyone has stacked for the first 3 rounds, it plays out like normal.

Of course not everyone would stack like this, but once this optimal strategy is learned, the more experienced players will chastize those 'noobs' that are 'stupid' enough to attack without knowing who their target is. They would be weakening themselves, and the wrong target and (what everybody who loses likes to throw out there) 'hand the game to someone else'!!

I see alot of people getting pissed off at each other lol. But not me. i love you all. Dont believe me?? just check the avatar!!
