Auto Fortify

Postby Coleman on Tue Jan 09, 2007 12:19 pm

I know its just one more button to push but I'm lazy and when I am sucking bad enough to not be able to fortify anywhere the game should be able to know that and just skip that stage so I don't have to push end fortification. It knows enough to have all the pull down boxes blank anyway, so that should be what triggers the auto.

What about in freestyle team games?

You may not have any armies now, but your partner could fort some to you, then you could fort them where needed.

There are many 'small' aspects of the coding like that which bother me.

For example- if I choose to attack from a country it still shows the list of all countries that I can attack anywhere on the map. Ideally, you would select a country and then it would only show enemy countries that border it. The same thing holds true for adjacent fortifications, and the instances where you get zero options but still have to click a button. It would be nice to clean all of that up, but I think there are more important pending suggestions so I have never worried much about it.

See now I don't see the point in fog of war in risk that seems silly to me, but I guess people that like it could play those maps and people that do not won't have to.
