- Add a few quirky weapons options so that mapmakers can be more inventive in their creations. These would only appear if 1) coded in the map during creation, hence fixed position and 2) if the host then ticks the box to enable them. To use any of these, the player has to capture and hold for one turn. Some of these sound silly on large scale maps but work just fine on battlefield sized ones.
Specifics:
- A machine gun emplacement icon which gives an extra die per attack so you attack with 4 dice each time, but only in an arc of attacks i.e. might hit two adjacent regions
- A cannon emplacement, as above but has a 5 region range, defined targets, 4th Dice again.
- A mad scientist Death Ray that can zap a single region (like Nuclear does), up to 5 regions away. Fixed arc of fire might be an idea?
- A mortar that can aim up to 6 regions away but is inaccurate, so might hit any of the adjacent regions! Does an attack equivalent to 5 armies doing an auto-attack
- A large boulder that rolls down a slope to crush the enemy (nuclear attack), but is single use only. Affects a specified adjacent region.
- Godzilla. Heads in a specified straight line to the edge of the map, eating anything in his way. Single use only.
- Runaway train. Like Godzilla but only travels 3 regions. However can be re-used.
