Who is the real winner in a terminator game

Looks like the winner in a terminator game is the last survivor. I´m not sure that´s fair. It happens a lot that other players eliminated more players and earned more points than the last survivor in the game.
Example: in an 8 player terminator game, A eliminates B,C,D,E,F and G. But H eliminates A.
H would be the winner, and get a better percentage in played/won games.
I think the real winner should be the player (A) that more points earned in the game, because that´s the player that obviously was more succesfull in playing this game mode, choosing what player to attack in what order, to earn more points.
Regarding medals, I´m not sure how you´re awarded a terminator medal. But again, it should be based on the ammount of opponents eliminated in terminator games, no matter if you won those games.

Best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina

The unique defeats from a terminator game go to the last man standing, meaning that if you're hunting the terminator medal you should aim to stay alive as long as possible and not to waste yourself on other players for points. Of course, if you play escalating games it shouldn't really matter which way you play it.

Changing the way terminator medals are awarded now would mean that a lot of players would actually lose theirs.

Genuinely I think a win should be if you have a positive net-point gain.

I think for terminator medals the unique defeats should be counted from eliminations. The whole idea of the game type is to award points for eliminations, so it would only be logical that medals would be awarded from the same.

So some people will lose medals, so what! They can easily reacquire them. It's not like it would affect their rank, score, games or anything.

Petition for changing the way terminator medals are awarded!

All I know is that if I am the last person standing I gain points - guaranteed.

Again, the point of a terminator game is not surviving. Its gaining as much points as possible. Its ok if you focus the discussion on medals and i agree, nothing happens if anyone loses a medal.
But remember my initial point was about the played/won rate in your ranks. Again, an extreme example to make my point: if you only play terminators, and play 100 games and defeat all the opponents but are defeated by the the last one in every game, your rank would be played 100, won 0, 0% won. The other guy would be played 100, won 100, won 100%.
Not fair. It doesnt reflect reality of how good player one is. He won tons of more points than the other one, his rank should be a lot higher than him. and the same with medals.

Thank you for considering this.
Have a blessed 2010

The way terminator games and medals are done now is perfectly fine, if your looking for medals plan your strategy that way, if your looking for points then play that way. No change is needed.

Move along nothing to see here.

No it's not.

You're just afraid of losing your nifty silver terminator medal...

are we serious here? points and rank are far more important to the huge majority of players... let's be honest, play enough games (and don't suck) and the medals will come regardless of the criteria used to acquire them. what a pointless conversation (that i ironically joined into) lol

I care infinitely much more about my win % than about my points or rank...

Points come and go, rank does too. We´ve been all up and down.
But your % of wins is not so flexible. Many players will evaluate you according to your %. It is a very accurate data of how good someone is. Take a look at the better players and you´ll see their % around 60 or more. They can have a bad month and lose some games, lose their rank, but their % will not be affected, cause it´s not about good or bad seasons.

bull, if you play 1 vs 1 all the time and are any good you have 65%+ if you play 8 player games your win loss ratio would be around 35%

i think calculating who wins by points would not work as i used to play when i first started in cc and used to attack the highest rank player to eliminate him i would gain about 50 points but only lose 12 for the game this would mean i would win the game if everyone else knocked 1 person out as my rank was lowest
