Concise description:
  • A: leaving the entire scoreboard up when a search is performed
  • B: searching different aspects of scoreboard

Specifics:
A
  • Jump to match
  • just highlight the names of the player searched for, not eliminate all non-matches.
  • with multiple matches non-consecutive, add a [next match] button.
B
  • Allow searching of percents, scores, etc.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • easing search process
  • improving scoreboard

I'd also like to see a public means of assessing the user database by means of searching for a specific username (or partial username).
In other words, you could search for a user who never played any games (would not show up in game finder searches) and never posted. This would also work to make multi hunting a little easier.

I think this would be good. Often I have wanted to know where I was on the leaderboard, so i search my name, make a note of the score and then looked for it on the main leaderboard. This can take up to 3 minutes when my internet is slow.

You can do this by clicking on the Members link on any forum page

that would be tricky since the members list does not allow a direct search query.
e.g. searching sirsebstar only brings me to my posts.

It does a allow a direct search. Go to Forum -> Members -> Find a member. Fill out a partial username and click on the username in the search results to see the profile.
