Put a text entry box on the left side menu

Concise description:
  • There would be a 'text box' like in the game finder tab, but directly accessible from whatever page you're currently on.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • It will make it easier for members to locate a game once they already have the number copied. Instead of having to go to the game finder page, with all of it's options, players could simply paste the game number in the search box, and go.

SO COOL. Great suggestion!!!!!!

If I might add, you might want to change the title on the subject of this thread to "put a text entry box" When I first saw the suggestion, the current subject line made me think you were nuts until I read the suggestion.

No add on that does this. This is a suggestion for all users, not just those that use addons BTW.

So no one else thinks this would be easier than having to go to the game finder?

Its a good idea. just open 2 tabs that's what I do when I'm playing multiple games and browsing the forums at he same time.

I like the idea. It would be good if you could enter a game number or a player name. I need to use Game Finder to go to a players list of games sometimes.

awesome =D>
it should be possible to find members directly as well
so if you insert a number it will bring you to a game, and if you insert a player name it brings you to that player's profile :)

So essentially this acts like a mini game finder where you could enter 1 Game Number or 1 Player, and find that specifically chosen game, or find all the games with that specifically chosen user?

Right, but the main thing is that it would be located on the left side menu and accessible from every page, just like the game menu. I picture it being only a small text box, the size of the 'inbox' tab. I hope this helped to clarify things.
