Option to Turn Off or Mute Game Chat:Specifics:- For non-team based games, give the players the option to turn off the chat box or mute players. Alteranetly an Ignore option would be good. Many other online multiplayer games can do this.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:- Reduce the flame wars
- Silence abusive or rude players
- Let players who do not care to chat anyway enjoy the games.

You do have the option of a foe button. That works good for abusive or rude players.
But I think the easiest option is just don't scroll down to the chat. No one is forced to read the game chat.

the problem with the foe button however is that it hides EVERYTHING.
it would be better to have a chat filter where players who like being called fucking assholes can choose to have the chat displayed like that.
whereas for those like me whod rather not put up with such juvenile behaviour the sentence in question would either be hidden or the words would be replaced like this f$#!ing a!#%!@e.
surely wouldnt be too hard to implement?

Don't look at chat if you don't want to read it. If someone is saying stuff ya don't like FOE. Pretty simple stuff.
